Hi. I'm Juliana. I've been in the SCA since I was born, having gone to my first event when I was two weeks old. I have lived almost all of my life in the Principality of the Mists, in the Kingdom of the West. Thus, several of these projects were for either the West Kingdom Needleworkers' Guild or the Mists Needleworkers' Guild. You will see references to "the West" and "the Mists" in more than a few posts, so this is your explanation of what that refers to.
I have been doing embroidery in some form for almost 40 years, though I have only gotten serious about it in about the last 10. Welcome to my needlework blog.
The first batch of posts uploaded in fairly quick succession are things I have made over the last 15 or so years. I wanted to include them here to show my progression as an artist. I've included details where I can remember them. Some of my details and descriptions will include what I've learned since crating the pieces.
